I wanted to see if it's possible or even likely to get free samples by mail from websites. I have been using a variety of search terms and have found countless sites that claim to offer free stuff online. Some of them really suck and want all kinds of private information, leave tons of cookies on my browser, waste my time with question after question or just have crappy offers.

And several of the really popular ones were just out and out rip offs. They say "you won" this or that and promise all kinds of stuff if you are naive enough to believe it. Yup... I tried. After about a half hour of giving up my personal information and being led from survey to survey from offer to offer from crap to crap.... I'm finally asked to enter my credit card number "for a trial"!

But, I did find a few really good sites that offer free samples by mail. And of those, the best by far was www.surf4freebies.com. It has good offers which don't violate your privacy and actually come in the mail. No surveys or b.s., just cool stuff that companies want to get into our hands to show us how they work and what they offer.

I have been doing this for a few months now and the free stuff has been arriving pretty regularly. I have only given out my address and sometimes my email - no biggie. Plus, if you're that paranoid, you can simply get a throw away email.

The free samples have been top notch so far. None have been junk. I think the site owners are very selective with what free samples by mail they post.
